Lawn Grass

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

What kind of grass does your lawn cater to? There are numerous types of grass. They differ vaguely with one another. Some people may not be able to point out such difference between different varities of grass at first glance but you can surely tell how they are unique if you take a closer look maybe even feel the grass a little.

I’m from a place where the weather is kind of warm (you might even want to consider the weather here tropical) that’s why I chose to plant bermuda grass in my lawn. This type of grass would do well in a hot location. It has a fine texture and vigorous quality that tolerates drought, salt, and traffic. It doesn’t need a lot of watering in fact; I overwatered mine a couple of times thus, leading to infestations from fungus and insects. But now I learned my lesson and I schedule watering my bermuda grass well and make it a point that my grass receives just the right amount of liquid.
Isn’t it amusing how we have different varieties of grass that would best fit our lifestyle, needs, and surrounding? I find bermuda grass to be most suitable for me. What about you guys? What kind of grass appeals best to you?
