Sometimes I tend to neglect caring for my lawn. I remember when I first planted on my soil where my lawn grew I was so excited about it. I check it out almost always, make sure it receives enough water, I weed it occasionally by myself (that’s without the use of weeding chemicals), I even try and take measures to make sure it receives just the right amount of sunlight! Lawn care is pretty addictive at first, and more once you see your lawn produce the perfect and healthy grass. Dark green evenly colored grass and the right height. That’s a perfect lawn for me.
But you can’t always maintain that passion about your lawn. To me it got old and it just started being a task. I started forgetting to water my lawn at times. Then weeds started growing. Eventually insects and pests infested my lawn. I’m not proud of it but I think everybody has to go through with the plateau that is “neglecting you lawn”. What is important is how you can recover and strive afterwards to once again achieve and rekindle the passion that got lost. Having a lawn is like a lifetime commitment. It literally is. You’ll always have to tend to it as it gets older.
